Hi,
I’m Nickie Wynn. It feels so weird to write that down in yet another official capacity, even though I’ve been doing so for about a year and some change now. I couldn’t even come up with a more clever intro. Better luck next time.
So in advance, I ask that you please be kind and understanding of all the missteps that I am sure will be made along the way. After all, I haven’t blogged since grad school. Back then, it was mostly angsty music reviews (Evanescence was life) or self righteous rants that only a sociology or psychology major could muster. Rest assured this is none of those things (well maybe some Evanescence love).
So, what brings me back to blogging? I am a writer an aspiring author. My current work in progress (WIP) or maybe W’s IP since I write the way I read which is to say four or five books at a time.
Book baby #1 is “Batter Up,” a contemporary, angsty tale of love, lust and dating in a world devoid of privacy. Where one person loves living in the public eye and the other shies away from it. A teaser will be coming soon.
Another book I’m pouring my heart and soul into is a thriller that makes the reader question nature vs nurture. Is our adult self most influenced by the family who raises us or the family we are born into? I am imagining it as a trilogy “Sins of my Father”, “In the Shadow of my Father”, and ending with “My Father's Daughter.”
I’m also in the middle of plotting out a workplace romance in the #metoo era. I have so much to say on this topic, it will for sure find its way into a blog post in the future.
